Self-emptying robot vacuums represent the closest thing to truly hands-free floor cleaning. After each session, the robot returns to its dock and automatically empties collected debris into a larger base station bin. Our team evaluates the full auto-empty experience: how effectively the dock empties the robot, noise levels during the emptying cycle, base station capacity measured in weeks of normal use, and whether bagged or bagless systems work better long-term. We also test for dust cloud escape during emptying, which affects allergy sufferers.
